Williams System 9, 11, 11A, 11B and 11C MPU Board

This completely redesigned board replaces the MPU board in all Williams System 9 through 11B games, NOW INCLUDING System 9-11 early games such as Comet and High Speed, view the full list below. Please note games with an (*) are 11C and you can use this board or the Rottendog MPU011C. This new board has a small balancing pot to compensate for the differences in volume on the MPU and soundboard. For System 9 games, the soundboard is not longer needed and incorporated in the new MPU board. Custom EPROMs are required for the System 9 games. For all games, you must move over your (2) 6802 or 6808 processors. For System 11 games, you will need to swap over your two Game ROMS from your MPU board and the two Sound ROMs from the Soundboard. All 6821s chips are provided, and the MPU9211 comes with NVRAM installed, no batteries needed!

Please note This item is the Base Unit WITHOUT ROMs or processors. We can not burn or sell ROMS.

Warranty is void if not installed by professional pinball technician.

System 9: Space Shuttle, Comet, Sorcerer require special ROMs. Strike Zone software will not run on the MPU9211. Original System 9 ROMs WILL NOT run on the MPU9211.

Additional Tech Info: You may notice that on connector CN3 that the connector on your MPU9211 now has 12 pins. The extra pins (10-12) were used on system 9 games for the display blanking and commas. Install the connector housing so that the key at pin 6 matches the cut key on CN3.

Benefits over the original Williams board:
– Williams WPC type mounting holes for ease of install / uninstall.
– No batteries required for memory retention (no acid damage, ever!)
– Simplified driver design using logic level FETs
– Beefed up switch matrix drive for better durability (good to 100V back drive)
– Board is made with 100% through-hole components.
– No custom parts used in this design (all parts can be purchased through usual suspects)
– Major component designators carried over from original design so original schematics can be used.
– Board comes with a complete set of schematics
